Paul Tudor Jones Documentary

Back in 1987 PBS filmed the hedge fund manager, Paul Tudor Jones, as he predicted the 1987 stock market crash.  Paul was young at the time as he was only 33 years old.  The name is “Trader: The Documentary.”

The filming took place during late 1986 and the early part of 1987.  The video is very hard to find as Paul Tudor Jones wanted it outside of circulation.  It briefly came on YouTube a few years ago but it was taken down.  Finding a copy is very difficult.  But an asian video sharing site still has it available.  It may be slow to load, but well worth the watch.  You can see how he traded with very limited charts back then.

Estimates are that Paul Tudor Jones made somewhere between $80 – $100 million on that day.

There are not that many copies that exist.  The copies were supposedly selling on eBay for a lot of money.  There are traders out their who would pay big bucks to see this trader documentary.  They hope to glean small tidbits of information that can help them achieve an edge.  They are looking for that slight edge.
